Influence of Polypropylene, Carbon and Hybrid Coated Fiber on the Interfacial Microstructure Development of Cementitious Composites

Concrete is the most used construction material in world; however, its deficiency shrinkage and low tensile resistance undeniable. Used as secondary reinforcement, fibers can modify concrete properties various ways. Carbon-fiber-reinforced highly suitable to maintain longevity of infrastructure where corrosion steel shorten useful service life structure while polypropylene mostly improve concrete. However, biggest challenge with fiber-reinforced appearance poorly structured interfacial transition zone around fibers. In this study, environmentally friendly low-cost attempts were made coat fly ash enhance mortar Coated carbon single hybrid forms investigate efficiency fiber coating methods on mechanical durability cement mortar. A minimal dosage 0.25% 0.5% (by volume) PAN-based was added make mixes. Compressive, three-point bending tests done after 14 28 days curing, results analyzed.
